Talking about Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W570; it is a perfectly shaped chic looking ultra compact that offers a huge 16’1 MP sharp shooter. With its slim and sleek built, W750 packs a 5x wide angel optical zoom lens and an extensive 2.7 inch LCD display resting on the rear of the camera. This camera is seriously eye catching and easily sits in the pocket. Sony W570 has a stunning look and elegant design. The shutter button is a chrome arc that rises above the surface, making it challenging to hit. Sony offers four colors violet, silver, pink and black of which silver sparkles when light strikes it. It has 5x optical zoom lens and digital zoom boosters, which upgrades the lens from 5x to 6.3x when shooting distant objects or when sharpness is required. Common features like face detection, auto focus and smile detection are also available. There is also a zoom lever and a slide to switch between one of its three light modes. Sony W570 offers you a selection of movie recording sizes it has a HD fine quality recording capturing 1280 x 720.  Sony W570 uses a lithium-ion battery for 220 images, which are ample for more than a day shooting. Photos and videos are stored in a SD card but the internal memory is only 27 MB which is not enough.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300 – A Review


Another big hit by Sony! In the recent years, Sony has been coming up with such high-tech gadgets that it is being reckoned that very soon Sony will lead this gadget and technology industry.  Being advertised as the world’s lightest and smallest, pocket-able, point-and-shoot camera digital camera, Sony Cyber-shot DSC-WX300, with only 166gm, offers its buyers a 20x optical zoom. The built-in Wi-Fi is luring all the gadget-freaks all around the world.

This exquisitely designed device is available in 4 colors; has sleek exterior, pointed corners and a larger 3-inch screen. The top-notch Minolta G lens has been used.  The lens is especially useful for outdoor and nature photography. It has a minimum focusing distance of 5 cm and even very fine details are effectively captures. There are 14 scene modes to choose from, notable is the Soft Skin mode, which recognizes skin tones and reduces blemishes and wrinkles. iSweep Panorama mode enables you to sweep through the camera and capture a panorama of scenes. iAuto mode identifies the scene you are about to shoot and modifies the settings accordingly.

Switching from off to ready mode it takes 2.3 seconds. Shot to shot interval is 1 second. With a touted burst speed of 10 shots per second, it actually is 6.

WX300 is capable of taking full-HD videos. As it has highly sensitive microphones, it can effortlessly detect slightest sounds. Videos are recorded at Full 1080p HD (at 50i), they are no more blur or smudged, thanks to the zoom capabilities, they are as sharp as the stills are.

Sony Introduces New Xperia

Sony has announced two new smartphones to be release late this year – the Xperia Miro and Xperia Tipo. Both models run on Android 4.0.

Xperia Miro has a deep Facebook integration into the contacts and gallery. It also allows easy sharing of music and photos. On the other hand, Xperia Tipo is intended as an entry model for first time smartphone users. Both units feature a 800 MHz processor on board.

The Miro has a 3.5 inch touchscreen, 5 megapixel camera and video recording at 30fps. There is also a camera in front for video chats. The 4GB internal memory can be expanded via SD cards. The device is available in black, black/pink, white and white/gold.

The Tipo has a 3.2 inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera and a special manual setting. This device has an SD card slot to expand the internal memory of 2.9GB. The device is available in red, white, blue and black.
